“The best wrinkle cream over the counter" is quite a claim. In fact, it is an impossible one! What is best for one person might cause an allergic reaction in another. But that does not mean that wrinkle REDUCTION is a hopeless cause.

There are hundreds of products that claim to produce a wide range of wrinkle reducing effects. If you walk into a store and look at the aisles of products, you are sure to find a section just filled with wrinkle creams of one kind or another.

When it comes to reducing wrinkles, there are a number of different products that you could use. Many times, these are promoted as a miracle cure for your wrinkles, allowing you to easily apply the cream and watch the wrinkles disappear.

It didn’t take your skin a few days to produce those wrinkles and it is likely to take more than a few days to get rid of them, too. Now, before you write off such creams as something that just doesn’t work, consider how they actually might help you.

Some over the counter wrinkle creams have shown some benefits in reducing wrinkles, although not all do. If you plan to use this method to fight your wrinkles, then make sure that the product selected contains the following ingredients which have been tested for improving the quality of skin.

While these ingredients haven’t been absolutely proven, they nonetheless seem to be the most effective at fighting wrinkles and restoring a healthy look to the face.

Vitamin A: is an antioxidant which helps to break down free radicals which cause your skin cells to degenerate. Look for skin creams and wrinkle reducers that have a high amount of vitamin A.

Vitamin C: is very similar in nature and effect as vitamin A. Antioxidants reduce free radical damage to the skin in several ways – by preventing their formation, scavenging free radicals before they inflict damage, and by repairing damaged cells.

Vitamin E: is another great choice for a topical antioxidant.

Alpha Lipoic Acid: is yet another antioxidant that can help penetrate cell. It also increases the effectiveness of other antioxidants.

Hydroxy Acid: is an exfoliating product that will remove the outer layer of dead skin and help produce new skin that is healthier looking. You want a wrinkle cream that will offer this ingredient as another line of defense.

If you are looking to reduce wrinkles through the use of over the counter creams, skin lotions and agents, then consider only those that offer a substantial amount of these products in them. They have been shown to be the most beneficial in improving the look of the skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles altogether.

Wrinkle creams are not inexpensive and for that reason, you need the advice and counsel of others. But make sure that you are comparing their conditions to your own only if they match. Also, realize that the consumers may not have used the product as it was directed, yielding irrelevant results.

While you deserve the best wrinkle cream over the counter, we’ve seen that to be a marketing myth. The fact is … many wrinkle creams offer benefits, but just as many are largely worthless. But if you stick to proven ingredients, you are likely to pick a winner.
